Soccer Shoes
i couldn’t wait for my first soccer tourney for this year. i wanna see if there’s any improvement on me with all the trainings and visit to the gym i’m doin. for the longest time i’ve been working on my agility and endurance so that i can run as fast as i can & stay more than 20 minutes every game without having to catch my breath or something.
this saturday, February 04, 2012 at San Beda Football Field in Manila, i’m gonna know for sure. =)

I couldn’t be any prouder..
i’ve seen it first hand.. they battle and bleed.. all the hard work, dedication, perseverance, and passion they’ve put in.. the team, the coaches, the staff.. and now finally, it paid off..
and because the Philippine Volcanoes proved that Philippines is a formidable team in the Rugby arena, we got an invite to compete in one of the most prestigious Rugby event in Asia, well perhaps in the whole world — the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens. The Hong Kong 7s is a by-invitation-only tournament attended by the top sevens teams in the world like New Zealand, Australia, Fiji and England.
so to be able to get invited to play with the top Rugby teams in the whole wide world is really AWESOME! and mind you, the latter word is an understatement. =)
so guys, let’s wish the team luck and may they be able to shine their brightest in Hong Kong Sevens! I truly am proud of the team. Go Volcanoes!

Baguio was not called the City of Pines without the iconic Pine trees everywhere. These pine trees have been in Baguio before SM Baguio blotted the otherwise nice landscape of Baguio. SM Baguio has only in Baguio for a short time, in fact 9 years only and has not yet indentified with the city. The pines have been in the city since its establishment more than a century ago and truly has been a part of the city.
Take something that identifies with the city and the people will fight back to keep their city intact. That is why people, whether they are residents or just concerned citizens fight back. We are not just fighting for the dear life of the 180 pine trees that is being threatened by the “green” development but also for the identity as a whole of Baguio City.
If it entails cutting and earthballing of more than a hundred mature trees for a parking lot, then it is not green architecture and engineering anymore. Green Architecture and engineering entails from construction to occupancy, the establishment should be of least environmental effect.
SM, forget the parking lot. Be the real good guys now.
